Welcome to my Bubble. My name is Mick Smith, I’m a 38 and I love photography. I’ve had an interest in photography since my stepson bought a digital sony point and shoot and came away on a fishing trip. I loved that we could take as many pictures as we liked, see them right away and then delete anything that wasnt cool. But in recent times my passing interest has turned into full blown obsession. I like to fish and camp in the remote parts of South Oz and these area’s offer some superb photographic opportunities.

More recently I’ve been trying my hand at Portraiture. Another world all together. I’ve been working on my Post Processing techniques in Photoshop CS5 and I’m loving every minute of that also. Though I’m finding the more I learn the less minutes I seem to have. I’m also loving the world of Strobist now. Off Camera Flash is a whole new world. The light you can get and the moods you can create are incredible. I can see me expanding my gear list in this direction over the coming months. Already I’ve got a 580exII and 2 X 430exII speedlites. A couple of light stands. Two shoot thru umbrella’s and a softbox.Things seem to be really picking up lately. Just this year I’ve had one of my shots used in an advertising campaign in Europe and I’ve started doing some freelance shooting for a national magazine.I hope you enjoy looking at my corner of the RedBubble.
